Faith Isn’t Feelings: Walking Even When It’s Hard

Shalom beloved Brothers and Sisters,

Let’s talk truth today — faith and feelings are not the same thing. Many of us, at one point or another, have allowed our emotions to shape our obedience, to guide our walk, and to define whether or not we trust YAHUAH. But I want to lovingly challenge you today: your emotions were never meant to lead your faith — the Word was.

📖 What is Faith?

Faith is emunah (אֱמוּנָה) in Hebrew — it means firmness, steadiness, trustworthiness. It’s not a wish or a fleeting emotion. It’s covenantal loyalty. It’s holding onto the Most High — even when your heart is heavy, when the path is dark, and when you don’t feel His presence.

“Now belief is the substance of what is expected, the proof of what is not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1

Faith is walking when you don’t see the end of the path. It’s obeying when everything in your flesh wants to give up. It’s saying “yes” to YAH even when your emotions are screaming “no.”

💔 Feelings Will Lie to You

Feelings are real — but they are not always true. Your heart can be overwhelmed, discouraged, anxious, tired, or even numb. That doesn’t mean YAH has left you. That doesn’t mean the path is wrong. It means your flesh is loud, but the Ruach ha’Qodesh (Set-Apart Spirit) must be louder.

“The heart is crooked above all, and desperately sick – who shall know it?” – Jeremiah 17:9

We live in a generation that says, “Follow your heart.” But the Word says, “Deny yourself, pick up your stake, and follow MASHIACH.” (Luke 9:23)

Faith says, “Even when I feel abandoned, I know YAHUAH is faithful.”

Faith says, “Even when I cry, I still obey.”

🙌 Obedience Over Emotion

When things are hard — when people hurt you, when the bills stack up, when your body is tired, when your prayers feel unanswered — the enemy will whisper, “Why keep going?”

But remember this: YAHUAH is not looking for emotional highs. He’s looking for faithfulness.

“But the one who shall have endured to the end shall be saved.” – Matthew 24:13

Enduring isn’t pretty. It’s not glamorous. It often looks like dragging your feet in prayer, crying as you read the Word, and worshipping with a heavy heart. But that’s the walk. That’s faith.

🕯️ The Walk Is Worth It

Don’t let your feelings make you forfeit what YAH has promised. The narrow path is not easy — but it is holy. It’s not always clear — but it is guided by His Ruach. It’s not always emotionally fulfilling — but it is spiritually life-giving.

“We walk by belief, not by sight.” – 2 Corinthians 5:7

You won’t always feel strong. You won’t always feel bold. But guess what? You don’t have to.

Just keep walking.

Even if it’s slow. Even if you’re limping. Even if you’re crying.

Walk. By. Faith.

🙏 Final Encouragement

If you’re struggling right now — you’re not alone. But remember: YAHUAH sees you. He honors your obedience in the dark. He hears your whispered prayers. He knows your battle, and He has not forgotten you.

Hold onto Him — not your feelings. Let your faith override your fear.

You were never meant to be ruled by your emotions — you were called to be led by the Ruach.

Stay in the Word. Stay in prayer. Keep walking.

Because faith isn’t feelings. And your walk isn’t over. Be Encouraged my Brothers and Sisters!
